Graveside services for Earl Eugene Stowe, 74, Lawrence, will be 1 pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
He died Thursday February 12, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.
Mr. Stowe married Carol Ann Gallagher on April 12, 1963. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2012.
Earl owned Earl Stowe Trucking until he retired in 2007. He loved fishing, hunting, raising his cattle and spending time with his family. He loved joking and playing with his great grandkids.
Survivors include a son Don Stowe and wife Kim of Meriden, KS, a daughter Robin Smart and husband Joe of Lawrence, a son Marty Stowe of Lawrence, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Alvin, a sister Neva, and grandson Michael.
A visitation will take place 6-8 pm, Monday, February 16, 2015, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials made to the Earl Eugene Stowe Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
