Graveside services for Earl “Butch” Silvers, 63, Perry will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mr. Silvers died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Lawrence, the son of Charles and Opal Cobb Silvers. He grew up in Lawrence and California. He moved back to Lawrence as a young man, and went to work for the City of Lawrence in the Street Department and retired after many years as a Street Superintendent due to an accident.
He married Cynthia Caldwell in 1967, they later divorced in 1989, she survives of Tonganoxie.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Elaine Silvers in Apr. 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Twila Gayle King Silvers of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Silvers, Eudora; granddaughters Savanna and Tequila Ray of Eudora and a sister, Hazel Barber of Barstow, CA.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
