No on can truly appreciate the extent of your loss; however, it may be of some comfort to know that my prayers and thoghts are with you.
Like Jon Howe, I too rode on the same Eureka Valley School Bus with Richard and also belonged to Be Busy 4-H Club with him.
The Britts raised the very best watermelons, cantelopes, and other truck farm produce.
I left Kansas in 1961 and now live in Los Angeles, but the internet always takes me back to the “Old Days”.
May Richard rest in peace, I know that he worked hard in this life.

Jon and Richard both grew up in the Eureka Valley area near Manhattan. They rode the same school bus, attended the same schools and the same 4H club.As adults they remained neighbors and farmed within 1 mile of each other. Jon’s oldest brother,Jim, and Richard were the same age.Sadly and coincidently, Jim also passed away on February 27th in Oklahoma.
We are so sorry for your loss. Jon is currently recuperating from knee replacement surgery and we are unable to attend the services. Please accept our deepest sympathy.
