I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I have so many fond memories of Paul primarily at school, church, and on the ball diamond and court. He was a great guy – extremely funny and caring. I can still picture / hear him driving by in his little VW Bug.
When I was 5 or so, I remember giving him a hug and telling him he was the best friend in the whole wide world!
May God bless you all during this time.
With sympathy,
Mark McIntosh

John, Beth and Family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers
I have so many fond memories of growing up in Paris, Illinois and of course, that includes the times at the Buske house. Paul is a big part of those memories. Sure, we “big kids” probably gave him a hard time but I really think he enjoyed it! My prayers go out to all of Paul’s family, to those I know, and to those I never had the honor to met. God Bless You ALL!
Beth, John and Family,
Our hearts go out to you in your loss.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Paul’s family and friends. What a great friend, teammate, and classmate, Paul was to me. I sure have some very fond memories of growing up in Paris and playing basketball, running cross country, or fishing with Paul and hanging out with him on the weekends. I have so many memories of doing things with him and they all make me smile and very proud to have known he and his wonderful family. He was such a talented athlete and dependable friend. I will sure miss you “Schroder”.
With love and sympathy,

Dear John, Beth, and Family,
We fondly remember watching Paul grow up on Woodmere Drive. He was a beautiful little boy, who always had a friendly greeting for his neighbors. We recall that he sometimes stopped by our house to visit and chat for a while. He was a beautiful soul.
May God comfort and sustain you at this sad time.
With sympathy,
Dean and Donna Andrews
Deepest of sympathy to Megan, Cooper, John, Beth, and the entire Buske/Smith families.
I will forever be indebted to Paul, simply for bestowing friendship upon me, and putting up with me as his roommate for several years.
Thinking of Paul will always bring both a tear to my eye and a smile to my face.

I was saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. With the greatest sympathy, I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Paul’s family during this painful time.
This news made me reflect on all the wonderful times we had running around playing in the neighborhood in Paris. I think the movie “Stand by Me” sums it all up.
The only way I can wrap my head around Paul’s passing is that this is not the end, but just the beginning of something wonderful for Paul.
Dearest Aunt Beth, Uncle John, Megan, Cooper, Mike and Chris–
Our hearts go out to you all and our prayers are with you. Paul has joined many of our loved ones in heaven. Perhaps Grandma is making him her famous “glass casserole”… May your memories comfort you at this most difficult of times. Love, Kim, Jim, Ben and Nick
John and Beth and family,
I remember babysitting for your family when Paul was just a baby. What a beautiful little boy he was! May all your beautiful memories of Paul remain with you. And may the peace of God, which is beyond all human understanding, be with you all.
In sympathy,
Mary Ann Ring Sullivan
All our prayers are with the Buske family….
Paul was such a good person, classmate and friend. The memories I have growing up and the “crew” out in Woodmere are priceless…
Knowing Paul is with the Lord and painfree are the only comforts during this time. We know not the plan the Lord has but must trust in him. All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be re-united with Paul in time.
God Bless all of you in the loss of your loved one…
Shaun & Mary Jo

I grew up in Paris, Illinois, and Paul was my classmate. I know that many of the people from the class of 1988 have many, many memories of a young man that had a wonderful boyish grin, a great love of sports and considered him a true and loyal friend.
My prayers go out to all of Paul’s family and friends that sustained him in life and through his illness.
With great respect,

Paul, you were a great man and a wonderful neighbor. You were always a good person to talk to in the afternoons when we were getting home from work. Kevin and I truly enjoyed having you and Cooper come over nearly every day and play with Connor. You were such a great friend to my son. We will miss you dearly.
Your Baton Rouge neighbors,
Kevin, Brooke, Connor & Miles Becker
