Inurnment service for Christopher Glen “Chris” Parish, 25, Lawrence will be at 10am Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Parish died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 15, 1985 at Ft. Leavenworth, KS the son of Bobby G. Parish, Jr. and Karen M. Linsey Pitts.
Mr. Parish graduated Lawrence High School in 2004. He was a certified welder and certified in safety from Husqvarna Chainsaw Co. He worked as a foreman for Lawrence Tree service. He was an outdoorsman, avid camper, and fisherman. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Bobby Glen and Tanya Parish Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX; mother and step-father Karen Marie and Michael Pitts, of Lawrence; brother, Thomas Parish of Lawrence, Fiancé, Lotoya Todd of Lawrence; Aunt, Becky Parish of Lawrence; cousins Nichole, Hailey, and Drake; grandparents, Bobby and Mary A. Parish SR. of Lawrence; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from North Carolina.
We were very sorry to hear the news of Chris. We have great memories of him and our daughter Shannon playing together as little ones when we were neighbors. Our prayers are with all of the family.

We know how much you loved each other. You had such a short time together but he was the love of your life. Although nothing makes sense right now, know that everything happens for a reason. It is hard to see it at this time, but your heart will heal. You have a strong support group of friends and family that will help you get through this. We’re here for you, Toya.

This has come as a major shock to us, as we just recently were talking with him about making plans to go out to the lake and have a BBQ and do some fishing. Chris was a great friend ti both of us!! My condolences to all of your family and also to his fiance, Lotoya Todd.
We lived above Chris at the apartments,spoken with him a few times seemed to be a very nice guy.Our prayers are with the family God bless.
My heart goes out to all of Chris’ family. This is such a loss. I hope that you all will remember the good times that you shared with Chris. His memory will live on through all of you.
