A Celebration of Life for Marcia Jean Robinson, 67, Lawrence, will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 1-4 pm at the Brookwood Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 1908 E. 19th St., Lawrence.
Mrs. Robinson died Monday, October 8, 2012, at her home.
She was born November 4, 1944, in San Diego, the daughter of William J. and Barbara Sanders McDermott.
She was a homemaker, and the assistant manager for Gaslight Village Mobile Home Park, and retired in 2010. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She married James E. Robinson on February 14, 1984, in Leavenworth. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Brian Parson and wife Susan, Lawrence, and Chuck Robinson and wife Joyce, Overland Park; five daughters, Tina Christian and husband Jim, Lawrence, Diana Dissinger and husband Herb, Oskaloosa, Lisa Parson and fiancée Danny, Henderson, Nev., Patricia Robinson and fiancée Bobby, Lawrence, and Kelly Shedd, Topeka.; two brothers, Bill McDermott and wife Robin, St. Regis, Mont., and Donald McDermott and wife Marylee, Alpine, Calif.; a sister, Nancy Glasson and husband Henry, Alpine, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary Robinson, and a sister, Sandra Romaine.

I am so sorry for your loss, Marcia was a wonderful person, have known her for many years, loved having long talks with her and getting support and positive thoughts, she helped me thru a lot of stressful things, love you Bob,Patty and Jim, she will be greatly loved and missed.
