Ricky Reno

The “Celebration of Life” service for Ricky Reno, 57, Lawrence will be Saturday January 5, 2013 at 2:00pm at Lawrence Heights Christian Church. His family will have a private memorial for his ashes at a later date. Mr. Reno died Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born April 16, 1955 in Wichita, the son of Donald and Geneva (Treat) Reno of Pittsburg.

Mr. Reno worked as a truck driver for several years and as a house painter for over 15 years. He recently worked at Standard Beverage for over six years. He was an active member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church.

He married Sally Marie Matney on May 24, 1977. Survivors include his wife, Sally Reno of their home. His four daughters, Marie Jordan of Chanute, Toni Martin, Alicia Reno and April Reno, all of Lawrence and four grandchildren, Nikita Watts, Tapainga Watts, Austin Reno and JD Martin, all of Lawrence. His parents, Donald and Geneva Reno of Pittsburg. Two sisters, Judy Prince of Pittsburg and Jeanine Deichler of Lenexa and a brother, Claude Reno of Pittsburg. He is preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Reno.
