What an honor it was for me to have known Ruth. She was my Mother, Verdia Gaulding’s roommate at Pioneer Ridge for the last years of Mom’s life. Mother loved Ruth, even tho she couldn’t always remember her name. The 3 of us often enjoyed listening to Gospel music together, playing Bingo, and just sitting on the porch or inside to visit. I had a gospel music sing-a-long each month which she always looked forward to. Ruth loved the Lord and set a wonderful example for others. I know you will miss her, but what a wonderful, long life she had. My thoughts and prayers to the family.
I think often of Ruth and her opening her home to me when I was a college student there. I have very pleasant memories and will always treasure them.
Ruth always had a wonderful spirit about her. Always smiled and made you feel special. She is going to be missed.
Word has come to me where I am in MN now that our special friend, Ruth, has gone on home ahead of us. We are glad she never lost her love for the Lord nor her appetite for His Word. Glad for memory of times shared with her. Roanne Kooy
