I don’t even know how to begin other than to say that May God Hold You in His Loving Arms. We grew up a half a block away and I am so sorry to have lost touch with all of you. I remember Leroy as a very kind and caring and a little ornery individual. God is getting quite the man. He is very lucky to have him. May you all know peace in that he is with God now watching over all of you and he is still with you in your memories and hearts. God Bless You All
So sorry to hear of Leroy’s passing. My love to all the family, who I haven’t seen in a long time (since my last ‘Smart’ family reunion, long ago). Praying for the comfort and peace that only our Lord can give to you all. Love from his cousin Barb.
Dear family, I’m so sorry for I can not be with you all at this time. Believe I do know your pain an pray the hurt does not hold you hostage. Debbie your dad, I believe was a good man, an fair. He has always greeted me with a smile an a hug. You have a whole lot of family around you to help you through this, an never hesitate to call on them when the pain gets to unbearable. To the rest of the family keep in mind the happy, crazy times spent with Leroy. He will now watch over us an keep us safe. Love to all of you.
Your cousin Beth
Ps. Watch for a card I’m sending to the funeral home.
Lots of prayers for comfort to his large family! Leroy was one of a kind. Always such a fun loving, honest, ornery guy. Always made me feel welcome! He and my pops worked together at KU and I knew him threw pool league. So sorry for those hurting!
