I am so sorry I am unable to attend the service for Blanche. You are in my thoughts and I pray God’s Peace will fall gently on your world and remain in your heart.

In the fall of 1968 I was returning for my second year of teaching. My six year old son had to have a second surgery on his leg. Blanch sent him a most elaborate card that could be put together to play a horse-shoe type game. I remember my son joyfully playing with it in his hospital bed. Neither one of have ever forgotten that act of gracious kindness.
She was fine, hard working lady who used time and resources for a little boy she hardly knew.
I hope the family has many, many good memories of this dear lady.

I think of you two and your Mom almost every time I travel down the turnpike. I remember the many time we played together as kids. I also remember my parents Henry and Mary visiting your Mom after you moved to Lawrence. Thinking of you and the loss of your Mother.

Sending my condolences to the Timmerberg family. My memories of Grant School also include your mother. I enjoyed her so much. She was funny and kind. I was happy to see her again in 2002 when there was a reunion at Grant the year it closed. So glad she is a part of my childhood memories.
