Jacinta Mae (Jo) Davis, 86, died July 5, 2015, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Jo was born October 29, 1928, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of John Allison and Aureta Tope Jenkins. She graduated from Wellington, KS, High School in 1947.
On November 8, 1947, Jo married Glenn Eugene Davis in Newkirk, OK.
Survivors include her brother John C. Jenkins (Barbara) of Windom, KS and brother-in-law Darrell Corkins of Lecompton, KS. Nephews: Phil Corkins of Lecompton, KS, Arnold Corkins of Hollister, MO, Richard Corkins of Hutchinson, KS, John Jenkins Jr. of Loveland, CO, Jeff Jenkins of Las Cruces, NM, Ron Davis of Murfreesboro, TN. Nieces: Debbie Back of Wichita, KS, Marcé Lorenzen of Raleigh, NC, Linda Easum of Lawrence, KS and Donna Davis of Oskaloosa, KS.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; daughter Anne Davis; sisters Jeanne Corkins and Shirley Jenkins; and niece Vicky Dyson.
Jo was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, textile painting and crafting.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may greet the family prior to the service at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday July 11.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society.
Jo & Glenn were our neighbors and friends for many years. Jo was a wonderful person who will be missed by all who knew her.
