Aaron Paul Hemelrick

Graveside service for Aaron Paul Hemelrick, 19, will be at 11 am Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3 to 4 PM Sunday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The family requests casual attire for all events.

Aaron Paul Hemelrick was born July 28, 1996 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, the son of Dale Sleeper, Donna Strom and adopted mom Karen Woelk. Aaron lived in Lawrence most of his life. He passed away in Leavenworth, KS February 24, 2016.

Aaron was loved by many and could always count on him to put a smile on your face. He enjoyed playing different games on his X-Box. He loved gaming, camping, fishing, family and friends, kids and animals.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Dale Sleeper, Donna Strom and adopted mother Karen Woelk. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Zachary Hemelrick, Morgan Hemelrick, Abby Hemelrick, Autumn Hefner, Laina Sleeper, Ruthie Sleeper, Maycie Sleeper, Kian Sleeper, Stellan Sleeper, Alexia Clevenger, and Brayden Clevenger. Grandparents Donald and Sylvia Hemelrick and Dale Biggers, David and Pamela Mooney, many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Aaron Hemelrick Fund, in care of the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044
