Graveside memorial services for Vickie Ann Scruggs, 62 of Baldwin City, Ks, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Scruggs passed away on May 6, 2016 in her home.
She was born January 29, 1954 in California to John & Doris Scruggs. They later as a family moved to Lawrence, Ks. She was a well known resident of Lawrence, Ks

“cleanup” and a few laughs.
She loved sewing, crotcheting, cooking, and family. But most of all, her grandbabies. She had a sharp sense of humor that will be greatly missed by all her knew her. If you
ever met her you would like her, if you got to know her you would love her.She had a beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh.
She leaves behind her two children, Lucinda Orth (Schafer) and her husband Clark, John “J.C.” Scruggs and his wife Julie. Six grandchildren (Abby, Lilli, Cain, Avery, Stephanie,
& Jamie). Two great grandchildren Addy and Savannah. Two brothers and one sister and many nieces and nephews.

Dear Lucinda, JC and family,
Our hearts and prayers go out for you during this difficult time. Losing a Mom is like losing the backbone of the family. Moms love us unconditionally. Dear Lucinda, JC and family,
Vickie was a good neighbor and an even better friend. I will dearly miss our daily chats and the laughs we shared as well as the twinkle in those brown eyes of hers! We also shared some good meals! We could feel comfortable talking about almost anything. She was a great listener. I always appreciated her sharing Bozzy with me. We joked about having joint custody.
Please remember that the Lord is near you at all times. He knows all about grief. My prayer is that you will find comfort and strength in His everlasting arms.
In the days to come, I will always smile when I think of her.
God bless you all,
Lorie Collins
