A Celebration of Life for Ivan G. Votaw, 87, Lawrence, will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 2 pm at Monterey Village, 3901 Peterson Rd., Lawrence. Mr. Votaw died Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Monterey Village.
He was born November 13, 1932, in Lawrence to Milo and Angie (Vitt) Votaw.
He married JoAnn King, and had two sons, Timothy and Rodney.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his two sons, and brothers Leslie and Lyle.
He is survived by a sister, Darlene Naff, Lawrence, a brother, Merlyn, Quapaw, Okla., and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Whittier, California.

We are so sad to hear about Ivan’s passing. I would always see him at Monterey Village when visiting my mother-in-law. He was kind, friendly and always involved in the activities there . I know he will be missed.
My sympathy to Ivan’s family and friends. Ivan worked for my Dad Bill Garrett when he was young. My family had the upmost respect for him and Ivan always kept in touch with my Dad as much as possible.
