Graveside services for Donna Irene Durrant, 86, Lawrence, will be 2pm Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Durrant died Friday, December 13, 2019 at Richmond Healthcare in Richmond, Kansas.
She was born March 5, 1933, in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Vernon Theodore and Gertrude Alice Pickett Cook. She attended elementary school in Chico, California and Jr. High in Lawrence.
Mrs. Durrant was a homemaker and cook at Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and USD 497 at Schwegler Elementary in Lawrence for 11 years. She enjoyed crocheting and babysitting her granddaughter.
She married William Raymond Durrant on September 5, 1978 in Lawrence. He died in 2014.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne L. Palermo of Rantoul, Kansas and Charmaine Diane Messick (Raymond) of Garnett, Kansas; a sister, Janice L. Dick of Lawrence, Kansas; granddaughter, Jacqueline Thyer (Michael) of Wentworth, Missouri; and grandson Justin Messick of Wentworth, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Friends may call from 9am to 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 1-2 pm Wednesday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to F.O.P, sent in care of the funeral home.

I had so much fun with Donna, Diane, and Yvonne when I was a child. I will remember Donna fondly and keep her memory in my heart. Sleep well, Aunt Donna. Rest In Peace.
