So sorry to hear. I worked with Dennis and Vernon when they were working for my dad. Both great guys. Sending thoughts and prayers!
I am so sorry for your loss. Dennis & Vernon were really nice guys. I enjoyed working with them both all those years at Chaney Inc.
Dennis and Carolyn are my “southern” neighbors out in the country. For years I would wave to Dennis on my way to the hay field. Several years ago I saw him mowing his pasture riding his lawnmower as I was driving my tractor pulling a small brushog back to my house, so I turned into his place thinking I could finish the job in 75% less time. I convinced him to let me finish, after he said he enjoyed doing it,,,,he finally said ok and I started mowing and after a few minutes one side of my tractor’s brakes locked up, sending me crashing into his fence. Long story short, I loved the guy and would do anything to help him! My mother taught me that God “helps those who help themselves,” and to me that was Dennis. Rest in peace my friend!
This is from the entire Francis Family; April, Wendy, Jay and Jon.
I taught Dennis and Mary swimming at the Olympic Pool. Dennis and Jay were good friends. Jay remembers bike riding with back-packs to Douglas County State Lake and spending the night. So sorry to hear of his passing. Hugs and condolences to the family!
So many memories to cherish of a man who was so gentle and kind. I’m grateful for all the Alma Colorado days and many Clinton Lake camping trips that provide me memories to treasure always. Love to everyone mourning this loss.
He was a great man and I have many wonderful memories of him that will forever be cherished. His life lives on in each of us as we share and pass on the stories of him to future generations. Love you
