MSgt (Ret) James E. ‘Robbie’ Robinson

Mr. Robinson passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at LMH Health.

Robbie was an honorable, kind, and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his children, sons Chuck Robinson and fiancé Barbara, Columbia, MO, and Brian Parson and wife Susan, Lawrence, KS; daughters Tina Christian and husband Jim, Lawrence, KS, Diana Dissinger and fiancé Keith, Lawrence, KS, Lisa Marshall and husband Danny, Henderson NV; and Kelly Shedd, Florida; and sister Patty Lester, Niles, OH; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Marcia Jean on Oct. 8, 2012, daughter Patty and son Gary, great grandson Brody James, brothers Bill, Lawrence, George W, Jack, and Thomas, sisters Mary and Louise., and his favorite sisters-in-law Pinky and Fannie.

Robbie loved serving his country with the Air Force at Forbes Field with his fellow Brothers (air refueling) Kansas Coyote’s, and he also had the love for baseball, football, and the Jayhawks. He also loved the game of golf, especially the time he went to Myrtle Beach with his son Chuck and son-in-law Jim with some of his nephews – he never forgot that trip.

He always had fun wherever he went and one of his dearest buddies Eddie enjoyed going to Beaver Lake fishing and having fish fries.

He will be missed by so many family members and friends. If you were a part of his life know that he loved and cherished every one of you! The family would like you to know that your love and prayers for all of us is greatly appreciated and we love you too.

Celebration of life will be October 8th, 2022, at Lone Star Lake from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, so please feel free to come join us that day and share fond memories that you have of our Dad.

I was very fortunate to work with “Robbie”, when I first got hired at the 190th ARW he was one of the guys I enjoyed working with and he worked hard and played hard and made work fun. Robbie was always there for his 190th family and the mission . He worked and played hard. We spent many good deployments and TDY’s together .
He was fun to work with and well respected within his AF trade . He was good friend in the time I knew him. He will be missed but not forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to the family .

I was lucky to go on many TDY’s with Robbie. He was always fun and interesting to talk to. Even though I was a “nose picker” ( Crew Chief ) we couldn’t get along without his mechanical expertise. RIP Robbie.
