A Celebration of Life will be announced this spring for Ann North Cripe Merkel, 83, rural Lawrence, who passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at her home.
She was born January 18, 1940, in Lawrence, the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn North. She was a farmer and had worked for many years at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto.
She married Dewey Cripe who preceded her in death, She later married Bill Merkel who also preceded her in death

I worked with Ann at First National Bank and we both left to work at SFAAP about the same time. She was a wonderful worker and an awesome friend.
