Roberta Hellstrom, 91, of Baldwin City, KS, passed away, Monday, May 29 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Roberta was born October 14, 1931 to Emma & Walter Hellstrom. She moved to Baldwin City in 1999.
She worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 14 years and Hallmark Cards for 27 years as a machine operator/inspector, retiring in 1993.
She was a lifetime member of the North Lawrence Christian Church.
Roberta received a letter of athletic participation in 2000 due to 50 years of attending every home football game beginning in 1950.
Along with the above football participation she was a scholar of the Civil War era & read many publications, if not all, she could find on the subject.
She is survived by brother Ray (Joyce) Hellstrom of Kansas City, MO; sister Sandra Rebecca Melton of Raytown, MO, and several nieces, nephews and a cousin.
Visitation will be Monday, June 5 at 1:00 with service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

It has been a lot of years since I worked with Roberta at Hallmark Cards. She was a wonderful person to work with, and I enjoyed her smile and laugh as well. Rest in peace Roberta.
Roberta was a sweet and gentle soul. I loved working with her. Her passing is a reminder of the good old days at work. RIP Robo.
Roberta and her whole family were friends of our whole family in fact we called her mom aunt Emma, and they called our grandma Aunt Eve have had her in a group we both belonged too and kept in touch all these years she will be missed.
Roberta was always full o f faith in Jesus. We will .miss her joy

Roberta is one of the best women I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She was such a hard worker. She had a funny side, too. I will never forget her smiling, shaking her fist and then laughing. Rest in peace my friend.
