Dear Darla, I am so sorry to hear this news and all my positive thoughts and prayers are extended to you and your family. My mother was always so grateful for the close friendship she shared with your Mom. For over 40 years all of us knew that if it was Saturday morning, your Mom and my Mom were sharing breakfast together! My mother once told me that I would be very lucky to ever have a friendship so close and so helpful as she enjoyed with your Mom. When I think of your Mom, and I see her gradual little chuckle that turned into the “best laugh ever”. As you help others, encourage others, and make others smile moving forward, you will be keeping her close to you. May you find peace in knowing how many of us were blessed by her. Truly.
Darla, I remember that you and your mom were very close as mother and daughter and I’m sure were also each other’s dearest friend. Her service to others throughout her life will keep her in so many people’s fond memories for a very long time. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
