Services for Erica May Ricketts, 41, Kansas City, Kansas, will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the Family Church of Lawrence.
Ms. Ricketts died January 22, 2019, at The University of Kansas Health System.
She was born October 11, 1977, in Lawrence, the daughter of Morgan Eugene Helm and Betty Jo Wilks. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1997.
Ms. Ricketts enjoyed taking walks, enjoyed animals, facebook, playing games, collecting porcelain dolls, and listening to country music. She was baptized January 22, 2019, at The University of Kansas Health System.
Survivors include three children, Shyanne Garcia Smith, Kaitlen Layan Smith, and Luther Shane Smith; parents, Morgan Helm and Betty Wilks; stepmothers, Stacy Arnold-Hargis and Deb Helm; sisters, Mattie Mincey, Cathy Helm, Cieara Mocoy, Cameron Helm, Kayla Porter-Helm; brothers , Morgan Helm Jr. and wife Cassie, Michael Weeks, Rocky Helm, Andrew Helm, Jakaab Helm; grandparents, Imogene and Mike Smith, Jack Beerbower, and Elsie Burden; aunts, Melissa Rice and husband Mike, Monica Dykes, Kelley Hunt, Nancy Daniels, Cercie Martell, Chaz Beerbower, Sally Dillon; uncles, Jack Beerbower Jr., Jason Helm and wife Shely, and Danny Helm, Sunny Hunt, Bobby Daniels, Brent Helm, Brendan Helm and wife Katie.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sare` Porter-Helm and a brother, Kenny Helm.
