Frank W. Williams died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab Center.
Frank was born to Raymond B. and Thelma D. (Pontius) Williams on July 31, 1943. After attending Lawrence High School, he worked for the Lawrence Paper Company his entire career. During retirement, he volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels and the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department. His hobbies included fishing, traveling, running, KU football and basketball, long walks with his dog, and visiting family. He was a long time member of the Vinland Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two beloved cousins. He is survived by a brother Raymond B. Williams (Shirley) of Baldwin; sisters Donna Hammett of New Braunfels, TX ; Susan Clark of Palatine, IL; Martha Barrand (Don) of Lenexa, KS; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2020 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana, Lawrence, KS. Family will greet visitors from 6 pm to 7 pm. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Clinton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to either the Vinland Church of Christ or the Lawrence Humane Society sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana St. Lawrence, Kansas 66044.
