Gail Dimick, 74, of rural Jefferson County, Ks. passed away after losing her battle with cancer on Thursday March 12, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was a Jefferson County resident for over 40 years.
Gail was born January 19, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Edward and Shirley Anderson. At 9 years old was adopted by her stepfather Robert Busch.
She was a 1965 graduate of South High school in Wichita.
She married Lloyd Dimick on September 28, 1968 in Lawrence Ks. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2013.
They moved to rural Jefferson county in 1971, where they farmed and raised black angus cattle. Her hobbies were gardening, raising pigeon and growing flowers
She was a member of the North Lawrence Christian Church.
She is survived by four siblings: Marquetta Martin, Wichita Ks, Deborah Rice, Wichita Ks, Larry Busch, Wichita Ks and Maureta Busch of Bloomington, Minnesota. She also is leaving behind two very lucky young men Jason and Tracy Dover whom for over 40 years she considered her sons.
Funeral services will be at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home on March 20, 2020, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020, from 6:00-7:30 pm. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence Ks. THE ATTENDANCE AT THE FUNERAL SERVICE AND GRAVESIDE COMMITTAL SERVICE AT MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY WILL BE LIMITED TO 50 PEOPLE. THE VISITATION WILL BE LIMITED TO 50 PEOPLE IN THE BUILDING AT ANY ONE TIME.
