Gail Summers, 45, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was engaged to Thomas “Mark” Ellis. They shared 18 years together.
Born in Chanute, Kansas, on March 22, 1973, she was the daughter of Katherine Watts and Donald Summers. She graduated Chanute High School in 1992.
Gail enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 8-year-old daughter. She also enjoyed working on plastic canvas.
Gail is survived by her fiancé, Mark Ellis – Chanute; daughter, Jade Ellis – Chanute; mother, Katherine Watts – Savonburg KS; brother, David Watts – Savonburg KS; and two sisters, Juanita Bruce and Cassie Vining – both in Chanute, KS; along with several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents and her father.
The memorial service will be held on June 2 at 1pm at 115 N. Forest, Chanute KS.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence, KS.
