Ilse Steinhardt, 96, Lawrence, died peacefully at her home in Brandon Woods on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010.
Ilse was born in Munich, Germany on November 2, 1914 the daughter of Paul I. and Mina Metzger Boral.
She married Milton Steinhardt in 1933; he preceded her in death in 1994.
Ilse and Milton moved to America in 1935, then to Lawrence in 1951.
She will always be remembered for being outspoken but fair, her generosity, fun spirit, sense of humor, being a gracious hostess, filling hearts of others with her music and her unforgettable smile.
Ilsa is survived by her son Robby Steinhardt, his companion Cindy and granddaughter Becky, all of Tampa, FL.
Private services are planned.
