A memorial visitation for Alice Cardoza Williams, 88, Lawrence, will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Williams died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Manuel and Adelaide Andrada Cardoza. She graduated from high school in New York City.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. She was active with a senior citizens group while in Texas, and enjoyed her friends and neighbors locally at Drury Place at Alvamar, where she resided.
She married Edward A. Williams in 1949 in Jacksonville, Fla. He died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lucinda Silva.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Williams and wife Brookie, Lawrence, and John Williams, Cumming, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Brian and Brittanie Williams
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
