On behalf of the Springer family I would like to say Thank You to everyone for all of the condolences and memories. It has been nice hear from all of you. Thank you.
To the Springer Family: I was saddened to hear of the loss of Bev. She was like a second mom to me growing up in the area and going to Riverside School – she certainly didn’t have any problems disciplining me as if I were one of her own! Whenever I ran into Bev she would always ask how everyone in my family was doing and always had some fun memory to share with me of my mom. I’m hoping she’s having an iced tea with my mom, also Beverly, and laughing at all the crazy memories of Jimmy and Greg and Kevin and me growing up. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Springer Family-
I am sorry to hear of your loss. When I think of your Mom, even after all of these years, a smile comes across my face. Her kindness has touched so many people’s lives. I’m sure she and my dad will be having some good conversations. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

She was charming and funny and very kind to my daughter and I..None of us were very good at the cake decorating but we really had a good time..Just thought I would share this memory with her family..She was a lovely, charming woman…Our sincere condolences to your family..She was definitely a memorable woman..Take care..

Dear Jim, Jimmy,Greg & families. I knew Bev was really bad and am so sorry about her passing. I’ll always remember her wit, strength, fairness and sense of humor. We sat on the bleachers for MANY baseball games with our kids. She treated all the kids as her own. She’ll be deeply missed. I’m blessed to have known her. I have so many fond memories of “Mrs. Springer”. Growing up in the neighborhood, she was like another mother, and I have many happy memories of her at Riverside School. I recall how easy she was to talk to, and how she could make me smile when I was having a bad day. She had a way of making me feel so much better. I remember her laugh and her smile like it was yesterday. My condolences go out to the family. I pray that you will find strength and comfort in the Lord, and the knowledge that Beverly is at peace today! God bless you all during this difficult time.
I still remember meeting Bev on my first trip to Lawrence to interview for my job in the schools. She was so upbeat, friendly, supportive and kind. She always helped all us fine arts teachers with anything and everything in a cheerful way. I will miss her and send my condolences to Jim and all her family.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Springer family. I have many memories of Riverside and Beverly. She will be greatly missed.
I mostly knew Beverly through her husband Jim. Jim has been my good friend since the fourth grade at Riverside school.

I had the honor of working with Beverly and her mother Geneva at Riverside Elementary School. I was a brand new principal, Bev was the secretary, and Geneva was the head cook. What a wonderful family to be introduced to. I give Bev all of the credit in the world for my success as a school administrator. I learned more from her about people that any class I ever took. I remember walking into the office one day as she was talking to a parent on the phone and heard her say “you are talking to the boss, do you want to talk to the principal!” Over the next 30 years I worked with many secretaries, but non could ever match the skills to handle people that Bev had. I will miss her. Please accept our deepest condolences.
I knew Bev through the school district and I was so shy when I started, she always made me feel welcome and appreciated. I also knew her through my son,Andy Sack. She never failed to ask me how is was doing. She was so encouraging and loving. We will all miss her.

I had the privilege of getting to know Bev when I came to work in the Lawrence Schools District Office. She was a delight to everybody who knew her. She never failed to brighten my day – and even after she retired, it was always such a joy to see Bev subbing at the reception desk here at the District Office or subbing at one of our schools. She was always such a positive, cheerful, “can-do” person. I will always remember her that way – we will miss that fantastic voice of hers, her smiles, her kind words, her sense of humor. She will not be forgotten!

I worked with Bev at USD 497 starting in 1980. She was the BEST cook and such a hard worker. Her family came first always. I admired her for that. She will be missed.
I have known Bev for many years through the school district, most recently when she subbed at Pinckney as the school secretary. She often brought produce to share when she came to Pinckney. She grew the BEST watermelon!
I loved Bev’s cheerful attitude and her “get it done” way of approaching life. She will be dearly missed. She was a courageous, strong and full of life lady!
