Visitation for Ervin Lee Statler, 58, Lawrence, will be Friday Oct. 26, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Mr. Statler died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at his home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1953, in Lawrence, the son of David and Delores Mitchell Statler. He attended Woodlawn Elementary and West Jr. High, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1972.
Mr. Statler served in the Army from 1976-1979 as a Military Policeman.
He later worked for McElhaney Fence, Reliable Environmental Management and ABS of Wichita, as an Asbestos Consultant.
He married Rachael A. Rippy McManness on May 21, 1986. She survives of the home.
Mr. Statler is preceded in death by his father, David.
Survivors include two children; Aimee and Karlin Statler, Lawrence; four step children; Tavin, Stacy McManness, Keely Wright, and Tiffany Smith; two grandchildren; Ayden and Kyren Russell; step grandchildren; Riley Smith, Kyle Edwards, Shanda Wright, Carlitos Paz, Hailie, Audrina, Nathan, Gracilyn, and Madison McManness; his mother, Delores; two sisters, Sharon Stine and Yvoune Koleber.
The family suggests memorials made to the Ervin Statler Memorial Fund, sent to the funeral home.
