Sharon Kay Wadhwa

Funeral services for Sharon Kay Wadhwa, 58, Lawrence will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, 3655 W. 10th St., Lawrence, KS 66049.

Mrs. Wadhwa died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her home.

She was born February 25, 1954 in Lawrence, the daughter of Harold Jefferson and Betty Lou Lee Cannon. She graduated from Lawrence High School and has lived in the community her whole life.

She worked for and retired from Wal-Mart, where she worked as a greeter for 13 years. She enjoyed puzzle books, playing Skip-Bo, and watching her granddaughter grow. She also attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

She married Duane Allen Robinson in 1985, he died in 1998.

She is survived by two sons, Clinton Edwards and wife Tralissa of Lawrence, William Jack Cannon of Lawrence; brothers, Harold Jefferson Cannon, Jr. of Baldwin City, Tom Cannon; sister, Billie Arlene Brohard of Lawrence; and granddaughter, Alizia LeAnn Edwards of Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Guy Raymond Edwards, Jr., a brother, Paul David Lee, and a sister, Dorothy Cannon.

Friends may call from noon to 8p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Sharon Wadhwa Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.

My condolences to the Wadhwa Family. May you all find comfort during this painful time. To loose a loved one brings us great sorrow to our hearts. Please know that God cares and he promises to resurrect our dear loved ones sleeping in death John 5:28,29- those in their memorial tombs will hear the voice of his son Jesus and come out; Acts 24:15- there is going to be a resurrection of both righteous and unrighteous. They will be resurrected back to life on a paradise earth where death will be no more. Revelation 21:4- death will be no more; Isaiah 25:8-Jehovah God will swallow up death forever. Please find these scriptures comforting and draw close to God and he will draw close to you. James 4:8.
