Services for Doris E. June Crane Boehle, 89, Eudora, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Boehle died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Medicalodges Eudora.
She was born April 4, 1925 in Haddam, KS, the daughter of David G. and Nellie B. Smith June.
Mrs. Boehle worked as a childcare provider for many years. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” and loved all of the children she cared for over the years.
She married William Franklin Crane. He died in 1979. She later married Edward Boehle. He died in 2013.
Survivors include sons, Robert C. Crane and wife Patsy of Colorado Springs, CO, Sheldon Crane and wife Debbie of Bennington, KS; daughter, Beverly Gist of Lawrence; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; step sons, Steven Boehle and wife Marcia of Lawrence, James Boehle and wife Edie Boehle of Lawrence; 4 step grandchildren; and 5 step great grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday before the service.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence First Church of the Nazarene, sent in care of the funeral home.

I remember how she kept the nursery at the church. I always felt my little sons was so safe with her. You could tell she loved all the children. So sorry for your loss.
