Beverly L. Roberts

Private family inurnment for Beverly L. Roberts, 84, Eudora, Ks.  will be in the Pacific Ocean in Washington State. Mrs. Roberts passed away July 10, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 6, 1930 in Perry, Ks., the daughter of Cecil Shoemaker and Ruth Rose Shoemaker. She moved to Lawrence as a young girl.
She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School.  She married Leon V. Roberts on May 27, 1949. They lived in Lawrence except for 3 years when they moved to Anacortes, Wa.
He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2003.
She was a clerk supervisor at Sunflower Army Ammunition plant for 34 years until she retired.
Survivors include a son, Kirk Roberts, Montrose, Colo; a daughter, Jan Roberts, Eudora; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Humane society in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
