Memorial services for Marcia Ellen Weidenbach, 55, Lawrence, will 10 am. Saturday, November 22, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. She died Monday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born August 9, 1959 in Lawrence the daughter of George and Cora McRoy McClanahan.
Marcia attended and graduated from Lawrence High School. She worked in customer service for H.Z. Smith Motors & KVI for many years. Marcia could do anything she put her mind to.
Survivors include her husband Allan Umscheid of the home, sons Matt (Kristen) and Brandon (Samantha) Weidenbach all of Lawrence, daughter Angela (William) Ellis of Lawrence, brother Melvin McClanahan of Lawrence, and 5 grandchildren Gage, Haylee, Cody, Caden, and Alexis.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 10 am. service time at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral Home, 601 Indiana, Lawrence, KS 66044.

She was best friend you could ever have I will miss her she the best at helping me get the best car on the lot and help with every day life she was best Ty for everything
I got to meet Marcia for the first time when she was working for Smith Motors and she was one of the sweetest persons my wife and i ever met. it’s sad the she had to leave us so soon but I’m sure god has a plan for her and i bet she’s up in heaven looking down and smiling upon all of us. Allen and all her family and friends will be kept in our prayers.
I will always love and miss you. You was my 2nd mom and it wont be the same without being able to see you again. My heart is breaking over not being able to be there before you passed. Love always your son charley.
She was and always be the best mom and the sweets person to be around she always made people smile and loved whoever came in her life she has a very loving sweet daughter that stand by her side when she need her the most
Hi words can’t express the pain u feel and nothing compares to the lost of such a precious parent. I have been in your shoes and one thing that helped me was to just remind yourself that your mother isn’t in pain anymore.. no more suffering. I hope u know u have family, friends, & an awesome wife there for u! Keep your chin up and take care of yourself..
