Funeral service for Naomi May Markley, 82, rural Baldwin City, will be 10 am Monday, February 2, at Willow Springs Old German Baptist Brethren Meeting House rural Douglas County. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Douglas County, KS. She died Thursday at her daughters home. She was born Feb. 14, 1932 in Carroll County, IN, the daughter of Chester A. and Opal May Layman Kuns.
She married Kenneth O. Markley on Apr. 27, 1952 in Flora, IN. He preceded her in death on Mar. 2, 1997.
Survivors include sons Allen and Joseph both of Baldwin City, Aaron of New Paris, OH, Raymond of Covington, OH, daughters Roberta Adams and Rebecca Brovont both of Baldwin City, brother Marlin Kuns, sister Eula Flora, 24 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home Saturday 3 to 8 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday 4 to 7 pm at Willow Springs Old German Baptist Meeting House.
