My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the Hughes family with the loss of a such a beautiful woman. I have MANY good memories of times spent at the Hughes house, as Sharon and I were very close friends. I send a special hug to her. Diane was one of the sweetest, nicest, and most understanding people I have ever known. God bless her family and loved ones at this difficult time. Sincerely, Lana
I was very sorry to read of the death of Diane. She was such a friendly, caring lady. I always admired her. She was beautiful inside and out, with a quick smile and twinkling eyes.
I will always remember Diane fondly as the veteran Jayhawk Bookstore “part time” staff member (she was always there) who welcomed me when I, together with my family; relocated to Lawrence from San Antonio, TX. Diane was a woman of great kindness, generosity and integrity. She was a Jayhawk through and through. I was happy and proud to call her a friend. She will be missed by all.
We are terribly sorry for your loss. Mrs. Hughes was one of a kind. She was a very kind and caring person. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your loss.
