Lori and my daughterdaughter, Jenni Potts were roommates during their freshman year at college. Oh my, did those girls have fun that year in Springfield. When Judy, Jenni, Lori, and I went shopping for their dorm room we laughed all the way through the Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Of course, Lori wanted red towels and comforter and Jenni chose blue. Such a cute room! And the clothes they had… 🙂 Both girls went on to graduate college elsewhere, attained worthy careers, got married, had children. The time they spent together was precious then, and is more so now. My prayers go out to Lori’s family. There are no words to express the emptiness felt inside of all who knew, and therefore loved your sunshine girl.

From Jennifer Higgins...

My daughter erin and Tanner went to preschool together. Erin still remembers Tanner’s birthday party at their lovely country home with barbecue, water balloons and just fun with such a lovely generous and welcoming family as the host. More recently we saw Lori when we were visiting our doctor and she stopped to chat with us as she remembered and recognized us. Typical for her , she had a big grin and great stories to share. I don’t think I ever saw her without her big smile. I am so deeply saddened beyond words and what the family must be going through but I hope people sharing their memories of her will let you know that you are not alone in this very difficult time.

From Mark and Lana Hill...

From Samantha Stanley...

I am so blessed to know the Romanchuk family. Growing up they were a Second family to me. From playing summer ball, high school ball, sleepovers and of course sharing that OG pride in our community , we were usually all together. I remember Lori along with her sisters and mother Judy always singing, boy can they all sing! We grew up watching this older bunch, they were our leaders. We wanted to be friends, athletes and share a sister hood like Lori and Lisa Crall! We would stay in Lori ‘ s Giraffe and Volleyball themed room When she wasn’t home. It is at the Romanchuk house I learned to make Shepherds pie and still make it to this day…Lori called it sheep herders pie (with a big grin full of sarcasm). Memories are what we will always have of Lori and I feel honored to have known her. God Speed your love and peace to her families and friends. Love Samantha Stanley.

From Mary Hughes...

Lori and my daughter worked together at TENT and became wonderful friends. I had the opportunity to see Lori on a few occasions and had lunch with the two of them recently. I could tell she was an amazing person in just the little time I knew her. I made Bierocks one day and sent some to my daughter and she shared them with Lori. Lori contacted me through Facebook to tell me how good they were and how I should go into business and sell them. I told her I didn’t think so but every time I made them I would send some her way. I will always think of Lori when I make them from now on and set one aside for her. Thank you Lori for all you did, how you made people happy just being around you, and for being one of my daughter’s best friends.

From Rex and Karen Findley...
