EC was born February 15, 1927, in Sapulpa, OK, the son of Areathus and Opal Gail Facker Pagan. He worked as a railroad engineer at Santa Fe for 41 years.
He married Lauma Lou Geis on January 15, 1984, in Strong City, KS. She survives of the home.
Survivors include, his brother, Keith Pagan; his two sisters, Patsy Thandschiedt and Reeda Tyler; his sons, Barry Pagan (Kelly), Ricky Dodd (Lucinda), Robbie Dodd, (Christina), and his daughters; Lorinda Hartzler (David), LaVonna McAlister (Gary); grandchildren; Noah and Jordon Pagan, LaTanya Graff, Garrett Dodd, Jesse and Jade McAlister, Harrison, Summer and Hannah Hartzler; and, three great-grandchildren Mackailynn, Gage and Grayson Graff.
EC’s favorite way to pass time was through camping and fishing with his wife, family members and friends. He enjoyed large bon fires, fish fries and a comfortable lawn chair under a shade tree. EC took great pleasure from listening to country music, watching Christian programs on TV and reading. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a very gentle and kind spirit. Although he is singing with Jesus in heaven, he will truly be missed by his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kathy Jean Pagan, and son Lowell Edward Dodd Jr. (Eddie).
Memorial contributions may be made to the EC Pagan Memorial Fund to assist with future medical needs for his grandson, Noah Pagan, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Will pray for your comfort and peace. Many good memories of both of you.
Our hearts are saddened to know that E.C. has passed away and we deeply regret that we are unable to attend services for his life. Rick’s mom passed away last Monday and her service is tomorrow (May 7th in Pasadena). Rick and I spent many fond hours at the farm – fishing, eating, visiting, laughing, etc. We know that E.C. is in heaven with our Lord and Savior, along with all those family members who have gone on before him! Love at all!
Dear Loma it was with great sadness to hear of the passing of uncle E.C we will miss him dearly-Let God give you the strength and energy for the coming future.
Love.
Walid, Dawn, Deeb, Nora and Renee
Lauma, my heart is breaking for you and the kids, I was truly blessed to have EC in my life the last 29 years. We have wonderful memories of fishing, camping, hot dice, and gambling. Please know I am praying for all of you that God surrounds you with His grace and you find peace and comfort in Him. I am so sorry I can’t be there but my daughter only graduates with two Masters, once in a lifetime so I have to remain here. I love you all very much and I so loved the gentle giant EC.
I have such fond memories of visiting Uncle EC when I was a child. This city girl loved trying to learn to fish, and listening to Dad and EC tell stories of their childhood. Much love to Barry and Lauma and family.
Now I will finish. we sure enjoyed playing hot dice the night you spent with us. we have had many good time and many laughs you find a good fishing hole for us I’ll be there soon
