Ruby Lee Plymer

Funeral services for Ruby L. Plymer, 71, Lawrence, will be 1 pm Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Mustard Seed Church. A visitation will take place Wednesday from 6-7 pm at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

She died unexpectedly Thursday June 4, 2015, at her home.

Ruby was born August 20, 1943, in Delta City, Mississippi, the daughter of Virgil and Elizabeth Atkins Brockman.

The family has suggested memorial contributions made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Ruby Lee’s passing. I’ve known Ruby Lee since 1965, from the 13th & New Jersey Streets Neighborhood, Ruby Lee was a good friend of my aunt, the late Hedy Blurton. Ruby Lee was a kind and pleasant person that will be missed by many friends and family. My condolence and prayers to Ruby Lee’s children, family and friends. I will miss her so much when I went on vacation for seven years she always took calls from me and always told me what I needed to hear before we got off the phone I love my auntie so much she was a blessing to many but to me when I couldn’t get any lower she was always a phone call away I love her

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Ms Ruby. She was a wonderful lady. It was a pleasure to have known her and shared many laughs with her. Every time she saw me anywhere, she always asked how I was. Such a kind woman. Heaven definitely received a wonderful woman. My condolences to all of you in this time of pain.
