Services for Dorothy J. Demby-Rayton, 56, Topeka, will be at 4p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Demby-Rayton died Friday, August 7, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born on December 26, 1958, in Greenville, Mississippi, the daughter of Frank Demby and Maple Dentmond.
Preceding her in death father; Frank Demby, mother, Maple Madison-Dentmond and a brother, Nathaniel “Nate” Demby.
Survivors include a husband, Larry Rayton, Topeka; daughters, Natasha Demby-Rayton, Topeka and Danielle Demby-Pennington, Lawrence; and a son, Shamar Demby-Pennington, Topeka.
The family suggests memorials in her name to be sent in care of the funeral home.
To the Demby family, My condolences to all of the family, My brother Moosey, My special friend Frank, Dorothy’s wonderful children Adam, Toshia & Danyell, My prayers are with you all, may God keep you all, provide you with strength, courage, love and peace that surpasses all understanding. There comes a time that we all must pass through but I want you all to know after every storm there will be sunshine and after every valley there will be a mountaintop, I love my sister Dorothy and she would want us all to continue to press forward toward a higher calling, mentally keeping in mind that we will see her again in the home where there will be no more tears or sorrow. I will miss her but will never forget her.
