Dear Doris and Family,
Bob and I got to know “both” of your families–Ann and Sharon were “my” little girls for awhile, and Bob got to know your older ones through MCC. It was such a blessing to know all of you. We know that you are all anticipating the reunion with Art in God’s time. Meanwhile, our hearts go out to you as you adjust to Art’s absence in the here and now. May you be able to rest in the arms of Jesus and let Him comfort and guide you through this. Love in Christ, Bob and Linda
What wonderful memories we have of your years at Grace Baptist in Manhattan. We so appreciated your ready smile and willingness to serve. We have missed you in Manhattan and are sure you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. Our prayers are with you, Doris and family.

I’ll always remember Art’s smile and you, Doris, always by his side. Now you both have the companionship of Jesus, and you can look forward to being with both of them. I can say from my experience, Doris, that Jesus is a wonderful companion. He’ll listen to you any time you want to talk; He loves you and will never leave you. Mary Taussig

I will always have great memories of your Husband and Dad. He always had a smile on his face! Jason and I really enjoyed the time we spent at their home when we were newly married. What a blessing Art and Doris were to us. 🙂 So thankful for the Godly people I have had in my life and I count Art Schumann as one of the best examples of love of others and his family I have ever seen.
May The Lord grant you peace in this difficult time and I pray you will be able to find joy in the memories and the hope you have of being reunited with him in heaven some day! Much love to you all.
I very much enjoyed the company of Mr. Schumann the several times I was with him and his family.
I send prayers for all of Art’s family. Sincerely, Jane Hoyt
