Sue had a wonderful spirit. It was always a pleasure to visit with her while I was helping in Oncology. So sorry for your loss.
Sue lives still in my heart, and will live there until I join her, too. Theodore Roethke gives me comfort with his poem:
“A lively understandable spirit
Once entertained you.
It will come again.
Be still.
Wait.”
R.I.P., good friend and ally.
Sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs. Seigfried, she taught my kids at Woodlawn Elementary and was definitely one of the favorites. God Bless her family
I recall Sue as a vibrant and caring teacher at Woodlawn Elementary School. She often invited KU Theatre for Young People students to role-play dramas with her students because she cared so much about deepening her students’ creativity and imaginations. She will be sorely missed. My great sympathies to her family and friends.
I am so sorry to read about Sue. What an incredible loss it is for your family and the community.
Carol and family- I am deeply saddened to hear about Sue. She was a friend and special classmate for many years. I remember her as a beautiful cheerleader cheering the Panthers on. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Craig

My sincerest sympathy for you all. Sue and I worked together at Woodlawn. She was an amazing teacher. My daughter was one of her students and always loved her. Best wishes and thoughts.
Laura and Sarah,
My heart goes out to you both. You guys were there for your mom every step of this journey. I’m sure this made her so pleased to have her girls by her side. Your mom was a fighter! Obviously she passed this down to you! If there’s anything I can do- pick up kids, babysit, make dinner- please don’t hesitate to ask. Love to you both, love, Julie
Thoughts and prayers from the Faimons.
Sorry for your loss. I know she fought hard to stay with you. Our thoughts and prayer go with you.
I know sue. She was a very loving person and a wonderful teacher. She was kind loving giving person. She is now well and cured. She is with God and her loved ones that passed before her.
She Will be greatly missed. She will always be in your hearts.
Sincerely Debbie Shafer
Mrs. Siegfried was my third grade teacher 2005-2006, and what a teacher she was! I remember one time, she took one of those kid science syringes and started spraying the class with water! That was a fun day.
She always had a saying ready, from “running around like a chicken with its head cut off” to “close, but no cigar”.
I’m sorry to hear of her passing, and I know I and so many more students of hers will remember her fondly.
Eric, Laura, and Sarah, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was a wonderful teacher!
Hugs for all of you,
Sherry Tamerius
Laura and Sarah I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you peace in your hearts.
Laura, Sarah, Eric and Stu, I’m so sorry to read that you have lost Sue. She always made me feel so welcome at your house growing up and was such a fun person. I remember her outside gardening until the sun was set and smiling. Hugs for you all!
Sue was a great friend and wonderful classmate. I feel blessed to have known her. My heart aches from the loss. I hope that Sue’s family can take comfort in knowing that her friends will never forget. May God bless.
Karen and Ginnie are so right. This was a very special person in the fabric of our collective experience. Her humor, tolerance, smarts and beauty added so much to our world growing up and later in life as well. Her friends loved her deeply and forever. Many of us were inspired by her to expect more from ourselves and to be better people by her principled caring approach to life. Sue was deeply loved. Thinking of that special family and a mother who lost three beautiful children to cancer and two steadfast brothers who helped her through those piainful moments while hurting deeply themselves. Her husband and children lost a remarkable being. Such a great family! Much love to all. My God bless the family and do justice to Sue’ s sweet soul.
Laura and. Family:
So sorry for your loss! My condolensece to you and family! It is hard to loose your loved ones so suddenly! But just know that their journey continues in a better place! That many lives were touched already by such presence! God Bless you all and you are in my prayers

Karen was so eloquent and I’m feeling lost for words. I can only add that Sue was one of a kind. Genuine. Kind. Dear to those of us who shared time with her.
The steadfast love and support Sue received from her loved ones was the greatest gift she could receive. The rest of us thank you for surrounding her with what she needed and valued most.
My heart goes out to you all,
Ginny

I’m so sorry for your loss she was such a great person and sweet to. Praying for your family and may she rest in peace…
To the Cale / Siegfreid Family.
It’s not enough to say “I’m so sorry for your loss.” At a time like this, words don’t mean much when the empty space in your world is so big that mere words cannot even begin to fill it.
Just know that there are many of us who are missing her, too. And we hope that our prayers for your healing will grant a bit of peace going forward.
Love to All,
Karen
