Edna Mae Ray

Funeral services for Edna Mae Ray, 92, Edgerton, will be 1 pm, Monday, January 23, 2017, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

She passed away January 18, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Edna was born February 3, 1924 in Cole Camp, Missouri. She was the daughter of Alfred and Myrtle Faler.

On November 10, 1983, she married John H. Ray in Green River, Wyoming and were long time residents of Rock Springs, Wyoming. They moved back to Baldwin City, KS, due to health.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband John, her son Raymond Tate, Her maternal grandson Jonah Tate and her daughter in law Anna Tate.

Survivors include five children, Alvie Tate Jr, Ottawa, KS, Keith (Marty), Pomona, KS, Lawrence (Linda), Lawrence, Michael (Carolyn), Edgerton, Patty (Brad) Lawrence, KS; stepchildren John, Lonnie, Angie, and Jerry; Twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting nurses, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
