Constance Ann ‘Connie’ Fisher

Graveside services for Connie Fisher, 45, Lawrence, will be at 11 am Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Connie died unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Mar. 8, 1971, in Crow Agency, Montana, the daughter of Daniel R. Sr. and Delores Headswift Fisher. She graduated from high school, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Native American studies at Haskell Indian Nations University. She was working as a kitchen assistant at South Middle School at the time of her death. Connie was a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, and enjoyed reading, movies, WWE wrestling, music, relaxing, and spending time with family.

Survivors include two children, Christopher Bedeau II and Cheyenne Fisher, both of the home; her parents, Daniel and Delores Fisher, Lawrence; four siblings, Sheryl Fisher, Lawrence, Danette Fisher, Storm Lake, Iowa, Daniel Fisher Jr., Lawrence, and Lance Fisher, Arlington, Va.; and a niece, Erika Beerbower and husband Chester Jr., Lawrence.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Connie Fisher Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044. Online condolences may be sent at rumsey-yost.com
