Harry Carl Peterson II

A memorial service for Harry Carl Peterson II will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21515 W. 101st Street, Lenexa, KS 66220.

Harry died unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 24, 2017.

He was born October 23, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the eldest son of Harry and Lola Peterson. He graduated from Grand Junction, Colorado, High School and pursued specialized training in heavy equipment operation and semi-tractor trailer driving. He moved from Grand Junction to Kansas in 1976. He drove for Pizza Hut for many years.

Harry was a humble man of faith and was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Lord and always strived to live the Gospel.

He married Jacqueline Stewart on June 6, 1977, in Overland Park, Kansas, and she survives him. Their marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Other survivors include three sisters: Patricia (Richard) Cook, Salt Lake City; Mary Krasnow, Grand Junction, Colorado; Debra (Dave) Warnas, Sandy, Utah; and three brothers: Brian (Royanne) Peterson, Grand Junction, Colorado; Michael (Christi) Peterson, Graford, TX ; Scott (Sherry) Peterson, Olathe, Kansas.

The family suggests memorials to the church’s Missionary Fund or its Humanitarian Aid Fund, sent in care of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21515 W. 101st Street, Lenexa, KS 66220.
