
Funeral services for Juanita Maxine Hodges, 85, Lawrence, will be 10 am Friday, February 2, 2018, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. A visitation will take place from 9-10 am. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died January 29, 2018, at Medicalodges Eudora.
Juanita was born December 10, 1932, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of William and Mabel Ray Hartman.
She worked for USD 497 Food Services, Davol & JC Penney’s through the years. For fun she loved Bingo and loved Casino slot machines.
Juanita married Herman Meyer in 1947, they later divorced. She later married Donald Ray Hodges on August 19, 1988, he preceded her in death on August 30, 2016.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Meyer, Dennis (Shari) Meyer; a daughter in law Connie Meyer, three grandchildren, Jennifer Meyer, Dustin Meyer (Deena Schaumburg), Aaron Meyer (Shannon); two great grandchildren, Ansel and Arlo Meyer.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Donald Hodges, son Larry Meyer, daughter in law Mary Meyer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Medicalodges Eudora or Great Lakes Caring Hospice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Thinking of you all that this time , I know you miss your Mom, and that she was in the rest home for a long time. I was Juanita’s hair Stylist for many years. She was a great lady and we had many fun times together. She also brought me a lot of business over the years and I will be forever grateful to her.
