Kathryn Irene “Katie” Conrad

A visitation for Kathryn Irene Conrad “Katie”, 93, Lawrence, will be 5-7 pm, Monday February 5, 2018, at Rumsey – Yost Funeral Home.  She died Monday, January 29th 2018, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab.

Kathryn was born on Feb 1, 1924 on the family farm in Perry, Illinois, the Daughter of Clifford and Edith Smith Bergman , she Graduated from Perry High School.

Katie worked for Modern gas and had her own Beauty shop, “The Hair Do”.  She was also a Housemother for Alpha Chi Omega in Baldwin. She enjoyed sewing and anything KU.

She married William Ross Conrad in 1944 in Illinois. He was born May 25, 1925 and preceded her in death in June of 1964.

Survivors include her sons William Ross Conrad II , Brett Conrad and Brian Conrad along with 8 Grand Children and 7 Great Grand Children.

Memorial contributions can be made to Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab, sent to Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home , 601 Indiana Street, Lawrence , KS 66044.
