Alice Marie Harr passed away February 8, 2018. She was born on November 22, 1922 in Aaron,MO to John and Lulu Elvira (Stayton) Hedges. When she was 4 years old she went to live with Clarence and Pearl Woods, hence her nickname “Woody.”
In September of 1945, she married Robert Evans Harr a Pearl Harbor veteran in San Francisco, CA. They made their home in Girard, KS. They had 4 children Lee, Greg, Julie and Jessica. In 1971 they moved to Arizona. Her husband passed away in February of 1999. In 2010 Alice moved to Lawrence KS, where she lived until her death.
Alice had 4 grandchildren…. 6 great grandchildren.
Jessica, Julie, Greg and Lee, please accept my sympathies in Woody’s passing. I know you must miss her greatly. In my few encounters with her, she was always very gracious.
