Rosella Frances Beers

Memorial services for Rosella Frances Beers, 87, Lawrence, will be at 2 pm Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Mrs. Beers died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her home.

She was born August 16, 1930, in Lawrence, the daughter of Harvey Albert and Lydia May Farmer House. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School. Mrs. Beers was a homemaker, and enjoyed painting and reading. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ for nearly 70 years.

She married Glen M. Beers on April 20, 1947, in Lawrence. They would have celebrated their 71st anniversary next month. He survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Stanwix and husband Gary, Lawrence, and Marsha Farrier and husband Dan, Georgetown, Tex.; four grandchildren, Shelley Tindel, Emily McGhee, Kyle Stanwix, and Jennifer Hamon; seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Jimmy House, Lloyd House, Maxine Ridgeway, and Ray House.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.
