Memorial graveside services for Gertie Louise Heston-Hatch, 82, Lawrence, will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Heston died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1935, in Belleview, Kansas, the daughter of Glen E. and Ruby Inez Manis Heston.
Ms. Heston was a homemaker. She loved to go fishing and camping, doing arts and crafts, and puzzles. She also attended the Midland Pace Day Center and played Bingo.
Survivors include sons, Ernest Leon Hatch (Kimberly) of Lawrence, Glenn Eugene Hatch Foster of Virginia, Robert Lewis Hatch Smiley of Colorado; daughters, Elaine Lorrine Hatch of Lawrence, Deloris Jean Hatch Reimer of Ottawa, and Patricia Ann Hatch Jackson of Pomona; 13 grandchildren, Shawn Mckenzie, Brandy Hatch-Harris, Amy Hatch, Justin Hatch, James Hatch, Elizabeth Little, Dustin Little, Tasha Hatch, Michael Hatch, Annetta Scheer, Christina Scheer, Carl Scheer, Ashley Schmitz- Damman ; and 19 great grandchildren.
Ms. Heston was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Louise Hatch Schmitz, and a son, Dean LeRoy Hatch; and grandson, JP Schmitz.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
