Bill, you will be irreplaceable around city hall as a worker and as a friend. Many fond memories flood my mind…too many to relate.
Bill and I shared many good stories of our knowledge and various experiences with electronics and up and coming technologies. He always had something positive to say and was always willing to share his experiences with others and learn from others as well. I will dearly miss these interactions with Bill.
My condolences to his family and friends in this time of grieving.
John and Gloria, John and I are so sorry for your loss. All I can say is hold onto each other very very tightly, because there are no words that will help. Just knowing that other people are there who also care helps. Time, lots of time, will help. So Sorry for your loss.
I often passed Bill on my way into city hall as he was headed out to tackle the day’s to-do list. He was the type of guy you looked forward to bumping into to share a laugh or story. He gave me so many tips when I finished my basement and always truly wanted to help. We will miss him.

John and Gloria, Mike and I are speechless. There is nothing harder than losing your son and your husband so suddenly and at such a young age. Our thoughts are with you both and Sarah.
Shocked to hear of Bill’s passing. Seems like yesterday I was watching him and Annette was the flower girl at Melody’s wedding. Now dear Melody is gone, since December , and “little Billy” is gone too. Too, too sad.
Bill got his Amateur Radio license and attended the same Amateur Radio class as my wife Linda and I did. Since then it had been a pleasure to get to know him better. He was not only a great emergency coordinator for the Ham Club, but was a very smart in Electronics/Electricity Theory. Linda and I will miss him very much.
Sorry to hear of Bill passing. I always enjoyed working with him on projects with the city. He was a good guy.
Gloria,

Dear Sarah, Pat and I send you are deepest sympathy. I met Bill when he joined our Amateur Radio Club years ago. He was a very friendly ham who who would help anyone when needed. His knowledge about ham radio, electricity and emergency communications was outstanding. He was a key member who supported and led many club activities, especially Field Day. He will be more than missed.
My earlier comment was directed to Bill’s service and my relationship with him.
To Bills family: I am deeply sorry for your loss. Life can be so very very unfair.
I met Bill only a few months ago as a new member of the local amateur radio community and must say that he was among the first to make me feel welcome and at home when I came to the first club meeting. Over the past few months, he has been very friendly and helpful in advancing my knowledge. His assistance and, even more, his companionship will be missed. I wish him well in his eternal adventures and send my condolences to his family and all who knew him much better than I.
Bill was a good man, very sad to hear of his untimely death. He was very unselfish with his help and expertise to any one who asked. I was one of those. There were many others. The entire community and the state of Kansas benefited from his emergency communications work. I will miss our discussions of city events and technical issues at the weekly amateur radio lunch on Tuesdays at DQ.
We will miss Bill and his work at City Hall. We are all shocked and sad about his passing.
