Services for Donna Jean Hoover will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 25th at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest at the Washington Creek Cemetery. Donna passed peacefully on Sunday, October 20th, 2019 at her home in Lone Star, Kansas at the age of 76.
She was born the daughter of Edgar and Elsie Frazier on June 16th, 1943 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Donna graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1961 and moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 1963.
Donna married Clyde Duane Hoover on August 4th, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma and had 2 children, Micheal Clyde Duane Hoover and Sheridyn Joliann Oehlert and 2 grandchildren, Kaylee Elizabeth Flory and Lukas Chase Oehlert. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
She was an active member of the Southside Church of Christ and touched the hearts of many people. She was a fabulous cook, loved to garden, and enjoyed, above all, spending time with friends and family.
A visitation will be 6:30-8 pm, Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260 Lawrence, KS 66044.

We were out of town and just heard about Donna. She was so sweet. We loved to get together and talk abut our children. She will be missed. Thinking of all of you.
